MDA (Music Development Agency) Workshop
Saturday 6th September
11am - 1pm
This workshop in association with the MDA aims to give you an insight into the Technical aspect of a live music venue. As well as a guided tour to live sound and lights, you will also meet people who work for our Technical team and learn more about our volunteer scheme.

SAE (School of Audio Engineering) Workshop
Saturday 13th September
11am - 3pm
The largest worldwide private college for Audio Engineering and Digital Film training teams up with the Academy for the SAE workshop. In addition to our Technical staff, you will also have the opportunity to meet lecturers and guest speakers from the SAE. Selected students will be given the chance to gain some 'hands on' experience and shadow the Technical team as they prepare for a show in Academy 2 that evening.
The SAE On-Song Workshop demonstrations will be focusing on the technology that is driving a 'new breed' of songwriters, performers, producers and engineers.
SAE will be providing two 1 hour workshop demonstrations:
1pm - 2pm
Integration of live electronic performance (through Ableton Live) with live music.
2pm - 3pm
Synthesis and Sound Design – An Introspective.

One of Liverpool's most famous institutions comes to the Academy to help people who want to work in arts and entertainment gain a better understanding of the industry. LIPA provides education and training through a variety of styles of courses and LIPA lecturers and guest speakers will be there on the day to explain how you can be a part of it.
