| ![]() Academy Workshop The Academy presents a day of key industry figures and representatives who will be on hand to answer business and artistic queries, with special guest speakers. 11am-4pm Drop in to see exhibitors, stands, advice and chats with various organisations and music industry professionals. HIGHLIGHTS: 12pm-1pm: MU Presentation - "The dos and don'ts of promoting your songs". MU Regional Officer Andy Derrick outlines some guiding principles to submitting your music. Issues covered include copyright, contracts and "11 things you should know about promoting music". 2pm-3pm Music industry panel discussion chaired by Andy Derrick (MU) and special guest speakers.
Over in Bar Academy, The Academy of Music and Sound (AMS) will be offering a drop-in advice/analysis section where musicians can play all equipment supplied on the day, take away practical tips from sound engineers and learn more about key elements to performance. Pre-registration means solo artists or bands can take to the Bar Academy stage on Saturday 15th September, during the live sessions and get advice on craftsmanship of songs and stage presence. Musicians wanting to perform on the day should register for the live workshop experience.
